I've seen some people suggesting that not moisturising your skin at all when you have eczema can cure it. Eczema is actually a lifelong genetic skin condition which cannot be cured. Flare ups can heal but you'll always have a compromised skin barrier. Which is where moisturisers and emollients come in. Many products contain both of these ingredients. It's really important to moisturise your whole body multiple times a day even if your skin doesn't feel dry when you have eczema, because it keeps your skin more hydrated long term AND these products replicate a healthy skin barrier. Maintaining this artificial barrier helps your skin to behave more like healthy skin and reduces the chances of infection.
