Has anyone tried the Cerave retinol serum? How did you find it - was it effective?

Have to say how much I’m loving the new SPF50 day cream, it applies beautifully under make up without making my skin shiny so it’s ideal for my oily skin.

I am 44 and my skin concerns is skin pigmentation and dark patches on my face which are rapidly growing. I would love to keep these under control and reduce them . SPF is key in this and that’s why I love the Cerave range .

I have spent hours studying about ingredients today. I am going out on a limb here, as CeraVe is all about keeping a skincare routine simple. But… When a special combo drops in your lap, what can you do? My answer is: layer it! I have learned that if I put a smidgen of my PM moisturiser under my eye, and let it dry… Then follow with my vitamin C serum, and let it dry… Then apply my Skin Renewing Eye Cream with peptides, everything will enhance each other to give me a further level of clarity and brightness to my under eye area. I do not have sensitive skin. A skin professional has told me: Depending upon percentage of actives/ingredients under the eye is subjective from person to person. The skin under eyes is far more fragile /thinner, blood supply nearer the surface.

Hi! Just joined here for any new skin cares, maybe try some things out and learn more about my skin. I have a few of cerave products already that I feel are working. I'd say my too fave at the moment is the face moisturiser that is normal to dry!

My skin has always been very oily, and my hair fine and noticeably greasy. I got married eight years ago, and my first pregnancy was a year after the wedding. Everything changed during that time. While I was pregnant, I suddenly developed eczema on my hands for reasons I couldn’t understand. My skin became extremely dry and sensitive to all creams, and my hair turned dry and brittle, covered with a thick layer of dandruff that caused severe itching. It started to fall out and became very thin. I am still suffering from these issues today. I feel a rough, dry layer on my face, and when I apply exfoliating masks for hydration, my skin develops wounds and burns, leaving black spots after they heal. I don’t know what the underlying problem is. Often, I lose confidence in myself and my appearance, unable to look in the mirror. This eczema on my scalp and face is a significant source of distress. I’ve tried dozens of products, but nothing seems to make it disappear. Occasionally, the eczema clears up, and my hair and face become smooth, but this only lasts for a day or two before it returns. Despite multiple visits to the doctor, I haven’t found a solution. I don’t know what else to do.
