I was born in the 1950s in New York City. It was very cosmopolitan and we were aware of the beauty trends. Makeup was a big deal. Hair was set on rollers, teased into shape and mountains of hairspray kept it in place.
As far as skincare, we used cold cream, and not much else. SPF was not on the market till the late 1970s. Now we have so many great products, we can educate our children & grandchildren about the best things for them. CeraVe hydrating cleanser and Cerave SPF50 are great for children during the day. Hydrating Cleanser & Moisturising Lotion or Cream are wonderful for children at night. So many young ones have their own pocket money and are buying retinol & acids which are not meant for them. It seems that over time, we have gone from a dearth of products to a glut of stuff. I have bought all my grandchildren, boys & girls, the CeraVe products I think are appropriate.
