I was told that dabbing either Lemon Juice or Apple Cider Vinegar on Acne would reduce redness and help spots disappear. Surprisingly ... neither worked !!!!

Growing up I was always told to put toothpaste on spots! At the time I didn't even think of the impact it can have on my skin and my skin barrier. Terrible terrible advise!

One of the weirdest skincare myth Iโ€™ve heard growing up as a teenager is that one can use the period blood on acne and it works like magic. At that age I just knew that was gross and it couldnโ€™t be because what do you mean period blood ugh๐Ÿซค.

One of the weirdest ones I have heard is cooking sunflower oil used as moisturiser and oil cleansing.

.Head and shoulders ? Used as a moisturising spot treatment?I have seen so much about this online recently so decided to look more into it.Using it in place of your moisturiser or just in your spot prone areas is supposed to heal them quickly. Now this can work but ONLY on fungal acne as it contains pyrithione zinc an anti fungal active ingredient.Experts say if you use it on normal spots and acne it can irritate and dry your skin out.It can also cause your skin to be more reactive to the sun.Experts also say if you have fungal acne the proper way to use the dandruff shampoo is to lather your face and then remove from your skinโ€ฆ Dont waste your time using it on your face stick to using it on your hair only
