The biggest myth ever was in a ‘skin care YouTube’ channel in which a lady for 10 minutes explained how to disappear a pimple in few hours with one single ingredient. It sounded just what I needed. She started explaining that you can that ingredient at home: ice. The most impactful fact was that she claimed that with the ice on the pimple you’ll be killing by freezing the bacteria that caused that pimple. Meaning that after the bacteria froze will die soon and pimple will disappear. That day I said I was retiring from YouTube from a while a book a dermatologist appoinment.

The weirdest skincare myth I read is, "rubbing overnight urine on your face clears acne" Sounded sooo bizarre to me 😀

I have been told that placing freshly cut slices of tomato on your face will reduce redness and minise the size of your pores! 🍅🫣

Apparently leaving your skin alone and just going all natural and using no skincare - moisturisers, serums and even CLEANSERS was good for you 🤡

Had a girl on my course at university who swore that a scrub comprised of coarse salt, garlic, olive oil and chilli pepper would clear and brighten your complexion. Fair to say that two days later she had the worst topical reaction I’ve ever seen in my life. Definitely wouldn’t try this combination. Maybe in a bolognaise, not on my face though.
