Hi everyone, hope youโ€™re all doing well! ๐Ÿ’™

Today I wanted to highlight the Blemish Control Gel. What a brillint product for blemish prone skin.

This is a moisturiser which targets blemishes and blackheads to reduce their appearance. It can be used all over the face or as a targeted spot treatment which is brilliant if you have dry skin. This is a great product for also targetting enlarged or clogged pores.

Contains a blend of Alpha Hydroxy Acidsโ€™s (Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid) to increase cell turnover and improve skin texture, along with Beta Hydroxy Acid (Salicylic Acid). Other ingredients include Niacinamide to soothe the skin, Glycerin and Hyaluronic Acid to deeply hydrate and retain skinsโ€™ moisture.

Other info: This product is recommended for evening use only. Use SPF50 daily in your morning routine. If you would like to use the Resurfacing Retinol Serum, please alternate between the two products, do not use Retinol and Blemish Control Gel together. If dryness occurs, use 2-3x a week only.

Let me know in the comments if you use the Blemish Control Gel in your routine!

Hey Me + CeraVe

How is everyone doing?

Dry and cracked hands are no fun and can lead to other concerns, such as skin irritation, so let's chat about some hand-care essentials! Who applies a hand cream regularly?

Beyond the Basics: Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate:ย  like our face, our hands need regular moisture. My go-to is the CeraVe Reparative Hand Cream! It's a game-changer!

Sunscreen is your BFF:ย Don't forget to protect your hands from the sun's rays. Apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to the backs of your hands daily, even on cloudy days.

Gloves are a must:ย Protect your hands from harsh chemicals and hot water by wearing gloves when doing dishes, cleaning, or gardening.

Why I ๐Ÿ’™ CeraVe Reparative Hand Cream:

Developed with dermatologists๐Ÿฅผ

Ceramides, Hyaluronic Acid, & Niacinamide:ย This powerful trio hydrates, strengthens the skin barrier, and soothes irritation.

Fast-absorbing & Non-greasy:ย Nobody wants greasy hands! The formulations quickly absorb, leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth. Fragrance-Free:ย Gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin.

Pro-Tip:ย Keep a tube of CeraVe Reparative Hand Cream in your purse, car, desk drawer, or bedside table โ€“ as a reminder ๐Ÿ’™

Hi Community,

Foaming cleansing oils are a fantastic hybrid skincare product, offering the profound cleansing benefits of an oil with the gentle, airy lather of a traditional cleanser. If you're new to this type of cleanser, here are some tips to maximize their benefits:

APPLICATION IS KEY๐Ÿ’™

Start Dry: Unlike many cleansers, foaming cleansing oils work best on dry skin. Dispense a pump or two into your palm and gently massage it onto your dry face. This allows the oil to effectively break down makeup, sunscreen, and sebum without being diluted.

Emulsify with Water: Once you've massaged the oil into your skin, wet your hands and continue massaging. The oil will transform into a milky, luxurious lather. This emulsification helps lift impurities away from the skin.

Rinse Thoroughly: Ensure you thoroughly rinse your face with lukewarm water to remove all traces of the cleanser. Leftover residue can contribute to clogged pores.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND ๐Ÿ’™

Gentle is Key: Even though it foams, cleansing oil is still a gentle option. Use light, circular motions when massagingโ€”there's no need to scrub aggressively. Double Cleanse (Optional): You might benefit from a double cleanse if you wear heavy makeup or sunscreen. Use a dedicated makeup remover or Miceller water before using your foaming cleansing oil.

Not Just for Oily Skin: Don't let the word "oil" scare you! Foaming cleansing oils can be suitable for various skin types, even those prone to dryness. The key is to choose a formula that suits your skin type.

This cleanser is often used with the Blemish Control Cleanser. As a first cleanse.

Let us know if you think you might try this cleanser before using the Blemish control Cleanser.****

Hi everyone!

Did you know that about 95% of people aged 11 to 30 are affected by acne to some extent. Acne is most common in girls from the ages of 14 to 17, and in boys from the ages of 16 to 19. Most people have acne on and off for several years before their symptoms start to improve as they get older.

Spots happen when the tiny holes in our skin (hair follicles) become blocked. Our skin produces a substance called sebum, however when the skin produces too much sebum, the pores become blocked and causes what are known as blackhead or whitehead spots. Other causes include: โ€ข Bacteria (not cleansing properly) โ€ข Dead-skin cell build-ups โ€ข Sun exposure โ€ข Hormones โ€ข Diet, stress and lack of sleep

Here are some common Myths I have come across:

1. Only teenagers get acne Whilst many people do experience blemishes as a teen, adults can also get blemishes.

2. Blemishes are caused by bad hygiene Regular cleansing and exfoliation will help to keep dead skin cells and makeup from clogging pores however there is no evidence to suggest that dirty skin and inadequate hygiene routine causes blemishes, as most of the biological factors that trigger blemishes are in fact beneath the skin and not on the surface.

3. Picking or squeezing spots makes them heal faster Picking or squeezing a spot can actually cause infection, delay healing and increase the risk of post blemish scarring.

4. You shouldnโ€™t wear make-up Wearing makeup isnโ€™t a bad thing for blemish prone skin, as it makes people feel more confident. However, it is worth checking the ingredients and making sure the products are non-comedogenic (wonโ€™t clog pores). Make sure to double cleanse in your evening routine. First use a Micellar Water to remove the makeup, then pick your cleanser.

5. More is more This couldnโ€™t be more wrong. If you have blemishes, your skin barrier is comprimised. Using a lot of blemish targeting products may result in more blemishes, more sensitivity and damage to your skin barrier. Usually, blemish prone skin is very sensitive. Include one new product at a time and stay consistent to the routine.

We recommend to use products for at least 4 weeks, to allow time for your skin to adapt to the new products. We suggest regular check ins, so please do give us a message if you would like some advice.

As brand experts, we are NOT medically trained therefore we cannot advise if your skin condition is severe. Please seek medical advice from your GP or a dermatologist.

Let me know in the comments if any of these myths have suprised you!
